
Today is the first day of a new month and it’s also a Monday! That means it is the PERFECT time to start new habits or pick up the ones you said you’d start on January first. For me, this year is all about becoming the best version of myself. Of course, that means working on my physical health (as well as mental and emotional). January wasn’t terrible for me but it also wasn’t as good as it could’ve been.
With the start of a new month I have gained the opportunity to refocus and really chase my goals (let’s face it, the goals aren’t going to achieve themselves). I’ve already started by creating a jobs chart for our two and a half year old, this gives her some independence while teaching accomplishments and rewards and gets rid of a little bit of my stress. Today has been the first day of her “jobs” but she’s blowing me away. She was far more ready for this than I thought.

I’ve also put up a weekly meal plan chart in our kitchen so I see, every time I walk in to the kitchen, what I am suppose to make for each meal that day. This has relieved a ton of stress already and today is only day 1! Anyone who really knows me knows that I love to plan. Sometimes I over plan things but I love to know what’s going on at all times, haha! Having the meal planner is amazing for me because I don’t have to think about what to make for dinner I already know what we’re having. Being a stay at home mom allows me to plan our meals on Monday mornings and go grocery shopping that day while others are at work.
Making these two changes in my daily life has already freed up time to do other things like write this blog, dedicate more time to my photography business ( you can check out our Facebook page here https://www.facebook.com/srcphotography20 ), and so much more! I already feel so accomplished and I can’t wait to see what else these changes help me achieve!
