So, I know I said I’d write about the baby shower that I had on the 14th and I will but I wanted to write this one first.
I had multiple people ask me why I was having a shower for a second baby or why I wasn’t just doing a “sprinkle”. I also had people asking me what the difference was. So, I will start by saying, that the opinions written here are mine and mine alone. I know everyone feels differently but this is how I feel. I decided to have a baby shower for our second child for two reasons 1) our first born child was a girl and our second is a boy and 2) I feel every child should be celebrated just as much as the first.
You may be part of the group that doesn’t know the difference between the two so allow me to explain. A baby shower is essentially a big party. Usually it is women and children invited, lots of food, a cake, presents, games, and the mom-to-be invites just about every lady she knows. Where a baby sprinkle is a much smaller guest list, usually no games or just a diaper raffle, less food, MAYBE a cake, and it’s usually a much shorter party.
I do want to say that I have nothing against a baby sprinkle (I’ve been to one and it was very cute and fun) I’m just a huge party person. I love to plan and decorate for parties but with that comes a lot of stress so I understand how some expecting mothers are not up for that. I’ve had two baby showers and I loved them both but if a big shower isn’t for you throw a sprinkle instead.

I had two baby showers. I love parties and I love seeing family and friends.
So whichever people choose to do is special….
Glad you got to have a shower for two very special little babies..
